At its meeting in Portland, Oregon in April 2009, the AAPHD Executive Council adopted documents to help AAPHD Student Chapters organize at dental and dental hygiene schools and request recognition. Just over a year ago the first AAPHD Student Chapter formed at the University of Illinois - Chicago. The AAPHD Membership Committee has developed guidelines for individuals to follow in requesting a Chapter Charter.
